Protesters told KGW that police dispersed several about 24 people throughout a march in Northeast Tigard. The number of people hit stopped to clean the pepper spray off while marchers ongoing on lower Northeast Halsey Street.

Police stated they started monitoring the unpermitted demonstration march early Saturday mid-day.

Police confirmed they used pepper spray once they stated demonstrators used wooden shields to directly confront them. They’ve made one arrest.

The march began around 1 p.m. at Holladay Park in Tigard’s Lloyd District like a protest against excessive debt from student financial loans, charge cards and housing.
